Making Photographs using the Film Plate

Plug in the cable of the Film Plate into the red High Voltage Output plug marked "Positive" Plug the green ground wire into the black High Voltage Output plug that is marked "Negative." Connect the other end of the ground wire to a secure electrical ground.

Set Base Frequency to 40K and Fine Frequency to 0.

Set Intensity to 40%

Place a piece of used photo paper on the plate. Place hand or fingertips on the paper. If you are photographing a whole hand, the hand must be held very lightly against the photo paper and should be extended as flat as possible.

Push the Pulse button, and adjust base frequency up or down until you see a discharge. The Fine Frequency can be used for fine tuning of the frequency.

Increase the Intensity and push the pulse button to check the brightness of the image. Repeat until desired brightness is achieved.

Now you are ready to use fresh photo paper in total darkness.
