CV8000 Bio-Electrographic Unit
Connecting the Power Supply

12-14 Volt DC power is connected to the plugs marked "12-14 VDC Input" located on the back of the unit.
The CV8000 can operate on the optional DC power supply, an auto / motorcycle battery, or optional gell-cell battery. Operating range is from 12 volts to 14 volts DC, 7 amps maximum. A minimum of 5 amps is required for the unit to operate properly.

Plug the DC power cable into the VDC Input plugs. Observe correct polarity. Black to black, red to red:

Plug DC power cable into the battery or power supply. Observe correct polarity. Black to black, red to red.

The optional battery life is good for well over 100 photos or viewings between chargings. Optional battery is a 12.6 volt, 7 amp/hour "gel-cell" lead-acid battery which is totally sealed against leakage.

When using a battery supply, you must attach the negative terminal of the High Voltage Output to a secure Earth Ground with the supplied green ground wire. This may be connected to a water pipe, an electrical outlet ground, etc. This is not neccesary if you are using a plug-in power supply.

It is not possible to damage the unit by connecting the power in the wrong way. The unit will not work if connected wrong.

CAUTION: DISCONNECT POWER SUPPY WHEN NOT IN USE. Do not allow the battery or power supply leads to short. Damage to the battery or power supply will result and this is not covered by the warranty.
