CV5000 Input and Output Jacks

The above illustration is the top view of the Coronavision CV5000 Kirlian power unit.

The Film plate located on the top of the unit is connected directly to the RED Film Plate Input jack as shown in illustration. To connect the Film Plate to either RED positive or BLACK negative polarity, use the supplied jumper wire.

For Positive polarity, connect the jumper from the RED Positive High Voltage Output jack to the RED Film Plate Input jack.

For Negative, or "Reverse" polarity, connect the jumper from the BLACK Negative Ground Output jack to the RED Film Plate jack.

The "Reverse" polarity mode is only useful for viewing or photographing specimens. Reverse polarity will not work for fingertip images since people have a natural negative polarity from the Earth. When taking images of fingertips, Positive polarity is neccessary. A metallic hand probe is connected to the BLACK Negative Ground Output and held by the subject to enhance the brightness of the coronal discharge only when using film. DO NOT USE GROUND PROBE WHEN USING THE TRANSPARENT ELECTRODE.
